  3. Tulips imported from France can cost up to $50 per bunch. I remember a news that the prince of Monaco bought a black tulip for about $2500 dollars. Oriental Lilies take several years to bloom, don't ship easily and their price is $50 per bunch. Some can even spend much more in order to have them in times of shortage. The Lily of the Valley costs $75 dollars per little grapple of flowers. That's because they bloom for only one week every year and since they are small, they can only be picked by hand. Black orchids, can only grow in South America and they are the sole sellers of this flower. They ask for more than $200 for an inflorescence. But here is the best: Saffron, the spice, costs $500-$1000 per ounce. It derives from the Crocus flowers, but the harvest is manual and it takes thousands of flowers to work one-by-one in order to produce only one ounce. But this is not really a cut flower though.
