When ordering flower arrangements to be sent to the funeral home, how much does it generally cost?
My asian friend's father passed away. He was in his mid to late seventies. I have to order flowers to be sent to the funeral home but I don't know how much it would cost to order these kinds of flower arrangements. Anyone know?

- The minimum for delivered flowers is usually around $50 US for a small arrangement. It only goes up from there depending on the size of the arrangment and the kinds of flowers used.
- It can vary greatly, from $35 to over $100. Depending on how close you were, you should choose something to convey the depth of your caring, commensurate with the depth of your wallet. It is truly the thought that counts, so do not break your budget to show condolences. Sorry for your friend's loss.
- First of all, use a local florist. Don't use something like 1-800 FLOWERS. The florist's flowers will be arranged nicely, arrive on time and more of your money will go toward the actual arrangement. $50-$75. should get you a nice arrangement. You can go to the florist and look at a book if you like, also. They have sample pictures and prices. That will give you ideas. If you want more of one color of a flower, a less expensive flower or more customized to your price, a local florist can do that for you. If the decedent's family is Chinese, red is a traditional color for a funeral flower. Think about whether or not you want the flowers to stay at the cemetery or have them taken home by the family. If you want it to stay at the cemetery-order an easel, or anything in a plastic or pressed paper as the "vase". If you want them to go home with the family-order a plant or anything in glass.
- The prices vary. it depends on the florist u buy from. They can start at 75$
- It costs lots. Be careful... On the web sites the price appears to be reasonable, say $40. But by the time you go through checkout and add the delivery charge, etc., it gets WAY up there. If you can get in touch with a florist local to the funeral home, you may get a better and more honest deal. Good luck.
